For the production of Bombay Sapphire dry gin, only the best plants are selected, which grow in regions where ideal conditions are created for their maturation. All the ingredients are mixed together in such a way that none of them dominates or gets lost. In the production of Bombay Sapphire, Scotch wheat spirit undergoes a separate double distillation, during the third distillation, the spirit passes through copper stills containing a herbal mixture. The result is a concentrated product that is softened by the crystal clear water of Lake Vrinvi.

Brand History

Bombay Sapphire is a brand of gin distilled by the Bombay Spirits Company, a subsidiary of Bacardi, in the village of Laverstoke in Hampshire, England. The brand was first launched in 1986 by an English wine merchant. Its name derives from the popularity of gin during the British Raj in India, and the "sapphire" refers to the Bombay Violet-Blue Star, which was mined in Sri Lanka and is now on display at the Smithsonian Institution. Bombay Sapphire is sold in a flat-sided, sapphire-colored bottle with an image of Queen Victoria on the label. Today, the brand is rated 92 out of 100 points.
