In the famous game Catan, players try to settle on the island of Catan and create the strongest state with the available resources (grain, wool, bricks, wood, stone). Players use resources to build roads, build cities and villages, and protect their own resources and government from attacks. The goal of the game is to build a strong island nation as quickly as possible and score 10 victory points. At the beginning of the game, players use the hexagons in the box to build a map of the desired shape, which is different and unique every time, which makes the game diverse. After that, numbers are randomly distributed on the hexagons and players start to populate the island they created. Game participants collect various resources and thus develop their state. When a player establishes a village, he is awarded 1 victory point, and converting a village into a city is worth 2 points. An additional 2-2 victory point in the game is awarded to the player with the longest road and the largest army on the island. The goal of the game is to score 10 victory points as quickly as possible.
