Description

Made in the traditional Georgian style in kvevri, the amber natural unfiltered wine is made from Kisi grapes. The harvest is harvested in our vineyard in the village of Ozhio, Kakheti. Grape harvest: end of September. Fermentation: The kisi is fermented in a pitcher for 3 to 4 weeks and then it remains on the chacha (skin) for six months. Stir 4-6 times a day for the first 4 weeks. In March, the wine is transferred from one pitcher to another to free it from the remaining sediment. The same process is carried out in the spring.

Brand History

In 2017, four childhood friends, Mamuka, Amiran and Giorgi, who were interested in natural winemaking, decided to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and start making natural wine. The wine had to be aged using ancient Georgian traditional methods, exactly as it was done in Georgia 8000 years ago. The first step was to find a suitable vineyard. Everyone felt a strong connection with the vine the first time they touched it, and the first deal was made. Now Alphabet owns the vineyard planted in 1980. He possessed a personality that shared the same views on wine as his friends. Soon after that, a cellar was built with pitchers and now wine is produced there as it was done by our ancestors long ago. "Remember whose mountain you are from!" - an old Georgian saying.
