Brand History

Zacapa is a popular rum from Guatemala, created in 1976 to celebrate the centenary of the founding of the city of Zacapa in eastern Guatemala. It belongs to the super premium class and is one of the top five in the world. He repeatedly won in the premium category at the Rome International Festival tasting competition - in 1998, 1999, 2000 and 2001. Zacapa is the first rum to be inducted into the International Rum Festival Hall of Fame. The rum was awarded a gold medal at the International Sugarcane Spirits Tasting Competition in Ybor, a silver medal in the premium category at the Chicago Beverage Tasting Institute.
