Brand History

Boekenhoutskloof was founded in 1776. Located in the farthest corner of the beautiful Franschhoek Valley, the farm's name means "Boekenhout Valley" (pronounced Book-n-Howed). Boekenhout is an indigenous Cape beech tree. In 1993, the farm and homestead were purchased, restored, and a new viticultural program was established, which now includes Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Grenache, Semillon, and Viognier.
