Brand History

The history of the Shabbos brand dates back to 1822 and today is the oldest winery in the city of Odessa, Ukraine. The development of winemaking culture in the Odesa region was started by the Swiss who immigrated to the village of Shabo. Since 2003, a family with Georgian roots has become the owner of the Shabbos enterprise, and the development of the brand by them continues today. Currently, the company Shabo owns 1200 hectares of vineyards, where more than 20 types of grape varieties are grown. Shabo unites several factories: for the production of wine, sparkling wine, brandy and vodka. Shabo is the number one brand of alcohol production in Ukraine and at the same time exports to more than 20 countries, including Georgia. The motto of Shabbos is quality, which is proven by numerous awards received at international competitions.
