NexGard, Spectra, 38mg/8mg, Antiparasitic Chewable Tablets for Dogs

NexGard Spectra is an antiparasitic chewable tablet intended for small to medium-sized dogs (7.5 – 15 kg). It provides simultaneous protection against both external and internal parasites, including fleas, ticks, intestinal worms, and heartworm. The tablet has a pleasant flavor and does not need to be mixed with food. A single dose ensures effective protection for one month.

Features:

Indication:
NexGard Spectra L is indicated for the treatment of flea and tick infestations in dogs, as well as for the prevention and treatment of intestinal worms, heartworm (Dirofilaria immitis), angiostrongylosis (Angiostrongylus vasorum) and skin worms.

Effective against the following parasites:

• Fleas (Ctenocephalides felis, C. canis)

• Ticks (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus)

• Intestinal worms (Toxocara canis, Ancylostoma spp., Trichuris vulpis)

• Skin parasites (Demodex canis, Sarcoptes scabiei var. canis)

The drug begins to act after the parasite attaches to the dog and begins to feed. Monthly administration provides prevention of infectious diseases.

Contraindications:
Do not use if the animal has an allergy or sensitivity to the active or excipients.

Possible side effects:
The drug is generally well tolerated. Rarely, the following may occur:

• Vomiting

• Diarrhoea

• Decreased appetite

• Fatigue

• Pruritus

The frequency of adverse reactions is defined using the following convention:

• Very common (more than 1 in 10 animals treated displaying adverse reaction(s).

• Common (more than 1 but less than 10 in 100 animals treated).

• Uncommon (more than 1 but less than 10 in 1,000 animals treated).

• Rare (more than 1 but less than 10 in 10,000 animals treated).

• Very rare (less than 1 in 10,000 animals treated, including isolated reports).
