This is one of the first attempts to collect general information about the mosques of the Samtskhe-Javakheti region and relevant photographs. The book is accompanied by a short essay on the history of the spread of Islam in the territory of Georgia; There are also interesting reports about the good neighborly coexistence between Georgian Muslim and Christian communities of Samtskhe-Javakheti.

The main part of the work is a kind of reference information about the mosques of the region, with a small description and illustrations. A small list of mosques that have already been destroyed is presented here. It should be noted that a qualified study of the Islamic religious monuments of Samtskhe-Javakheti has not yet been conducted.
