Revaz Gachechiladze graduated from Tbilisi State University and is a professor at the same university. He is a Doctor of Geographical Sciences and a member of the National Academy of Sciences of Georgia, has been granted the rank of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary. He is the author of more than 160 works, among which the books "The New Georgia: Space, Society Politics" (UCL Press, London, 1995), "The Middle East" (2003, 2008, 2011), "My Twentieth Century" (two Tomad, 2008, 2011), "The United Kingdom: Space, Society, Politics" (2016), "Georgia in the World Context" (2013 and 2017) and the German version of the same book "Georgien in Weltpolitischen Kontext" (Wieser Verlag, 2017).
