Brand History

Marie Brizard et Roger International is a French spirits company founded in 1755. It has been a subsidiary of Belvédère since 2006 and is based in Ivry-sur-Seine. The company sells liqueurs, pure cane syrups, recipes and cocktails and mixes. Products are available in more than 120 countries. The founder, Marie Brizard, was born in 1714 in Bordeaux and was one of 15 children of a cooper. In 1755, he cared for one of the sick West Indian sailors, and in return he gave him a recipe for aniseed drink. That year he and his nephew Jean-Baptiste Roger founded the company. The company started to grow from that time and today its name is growing more and more worldwide.
