Brand History

"Since 1383" says the label on a bottle of Löwenbräu's Weißbier. It was Hermann Diem who extracted this date from old tax books in 1922, however, since 1981 it has been known that in 1383 there was no brewery on the site where it was supposed to be established years later. Although the name Löwenbräu (lion's brew) did not exist until 1746-1747, the bottles of Löwenbräu Urtyp still mention 1524 as the year of establishment. The main expression of the brand is the lion - a symbol of strength, confidence and Bavaria. In Georgia, "Löwenbrau" beer has been brewed under license since 2019. by "Lomis" SS.
