Brand History

In 1820, a farmer's son, Johnny Walker, opened his own grocery store in the Scottish town of Kilmarnock. It was quite a difficult phase of life for John, but he had a special talent for finding his way on his own in a rather difficult and competitive business. Johnnie Walker began mixing malts together and eventually arrived at a formula that made his whiskey taste exceptionally good every time. In 1857 Johnnie Walker died and left his business to his son Alexander.
