Description

Hatozaki's Japanese single malt whiskey is aged for several years in bourbon, sherry and Japanese Mizunara casks. The whiskey is made from 100% malt and does not go through the cold filtration process. The drink is produced in small quantities. The golden color of the whiskey is decorated with aromas of herbs, fruits and oak, the taste is full and smooth with elements of exotic fruits and delicate spices. You can enjoy it cold with ice cubes, it is also a good base for cocktails. It goes well with nuts and dark chocolate.

Brand History

Inspired by the great gin and whiskey distilleries of the United Kingdom, Kaikyō Distillery promotes the culture of making and developing Japanese spirits. Akashi Sake Brewery has been producing distilled spirits since 1917. One of their products at the time was shochu, a traditional, refined drink with around 25% alcohol content made from wheat, rice and other ingredients. 100 years later, to honor the family heritage and celebrate one hundred years of the family business, master distiller and blender Kimio Yonezawa has created Kaikyō Distillery's gin and whiskey.
