Description

Grolsch's premium pilsner has a naturally green hop flavor, a crisp, clean and slightly bitter finish from the combination of two hops - Emerald and Magnum. All this is added with specially selected malt flavor. As a result, we get a deep, natural taste of Pilsner.

Brand History

Grolsch Brewery was founded in 1615 in Greenlo. The town of Groenloh was then known as Groll, hence the name Grolsch. Grolsch is best known for its 5% abv pale lager, Grolsch Premium Pilsner. The brewery was first managed by Willem Neerfeld. Neerfeldt's son-in-law, Peter Sanford Kuyper, later took over. Grolsch was, as of February 2006, the second largest brewery in the Netherlands (after Heineken) with an annual production of 320 million liters. The domestic market accounts for 51 percent of total production.
