Gordon's London Dry Gin was created by Londoner Alexander Gordon of Scottish origin. He opened a distillery in Southwark in 1769 and later moved to Clerkenwell in 1786. The special London dry gin he developed proved successful and his secret recipe remains unchanged to this day. The brand is owned by one of the leading spirits companies, Diageo, and is the world's best-selling London Dry Gin.
