Brand history

In 1815, Joseph Chavasse built a small winery in the city of Savoy, where he began to produce liquor. In 1821, he invented a wonderful vermouth recipe that is still popular today. In 1843, his daughter Marie Rosalie Chavasse married Louis-Ferdinand Dolian, who took over Joseph's winery. A little later, Louis and his wife moved to Chambéry, where they opened their own liquor and vermouth company, which he named Doliani. In 1919, the company was purchased by Joseph and Carl Sevez. These food and spice merchants retained the original company name. Maison Dolyan & C is one of the few remaining independent vermouth producers in Chambery. The company continues to create drinks according to the principles established over the years and more than one generation.
