Description

Deep, bright red color. Aromas of black cherries, red berries and plums. Bright fruit on the palate with subtle supple tannins. Good balance of fruit and spice aspects. Ideal with lamb and other meat dishes, as well as baked pasta.

Brand History

The history of the winery began in 1976 with the purchase of the estate by the Trafford family. High altitude slopes were considered suitable for high quality red grape varieties. Unfortunately, due to absurd restrictions, it took 18 years to develop a commercial vineyard. In 1983 a small vineyard was established producing experimental wines - consumed by family and friends! It was their training years (1984 - 1991) that included a lot of help and advice from local winemakers and work experience in France, especially in the Bordeaux area.
