Liqueur has a rich amber color. It has a rich, harmonious, voluminous, sweet taste with notes of aromatic herbs, seeds, wood and the characteristic shades of aged wine brandy. The multi-faceted aroma is full of herbal notes and hints of spice, recommended to be enjoyed over ice and in cocktails.

Brand History

On April 29 1916, José Carranca Redondo was born to make Portugal less square. Ahead of his time, he changed Portugal with his unique irreverence and creativity. To end a year of celebrations for the centenary of the “Licor Beirão’s father”, in April 2017 was launched the Beirão d’Honra, a special recipe, created by the second and third generations of the Redondo family. For the first time in the history of the brand, a change was presented to the original and secret formula of Licor Beirão. Produced with the same spices and aromatic plants of the original recipe, this new nectar is enriched with aged wine brandy. A perfect and doubly distilled combination of amber colour and enveloping flavour with more alcoholic aromatic notes. Due to the success of this special edition in Portugal, it was decided to reinvent the Beirão d’Honra for the international market. The redesigned bottle was inspired in an ancient liqueur, which was sold at a pharmacy in Lousã, in the nineteenth century.
