Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc is a dry white wine made from the highest variety of Sauvignon Blanc grapes from New Zealand, specifically from the Mulrborough region. It is aged for 12 months in French oak barrels, which gives its taste and aroma a special nuance. Cloudy Bay Sauvignon Blanc goes well with duck, salmon and grilled pork ribs.

Brand History

Cloudy Bay was founded in 1985 and was one of the first of five wineries to come to Marlborough. At the time, it was an almost unimaginable place to grow a vineyard, but Cloudy Bays founder - David Honen - was convinced of its potential to produce great wine and invested in some of the best land in the region. Since then, Marlborough has become New Zealands leading wine region, as well as one of the worlds top wineries. The winery was named after Cloud Bay, a body of water discovered by Captain James Cook on his voyage to New Zealand in 1770.
