Cardhu 18 YO is a single malt Scotch whiskey aged for 18 years. It has a rich and complex aroma with elements of fruit, chocolate and sweet almond, peach, honey and smoke, and the palate is soft, clean and silky, with subtle malt and honey sweetness, elegant structure and a long finish with cocoa. It goes perfectly with Parma ham.

Brand History

Cardhu is a Scotch whiskey distillery in Speyside, near Archistown, founded in 1824 by whiskey smuggler John Cummings and his wife Helen. Cardu Distillery was the first to be officially run by a woman. It was Helena, and eventually her daughter-in-law Elizabeth Cummings, who took over the distillery and refined the taste and character of the whiskey that is still known today - light, elegant, generous, born of hard work and determination. The distillery is now run by Diageo and Cardu stills form an important part of Johnnie Walker's blended whiskies. The word "Cardhu" is derived from the Scottish Carn Dubh, meaning black rock.
