Brand History

Until 2013, Bulleit bourbon was produced at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Since then, the birthplace of this tall rye whiskey has been unknown. Nevertheless, the quality of Bulleit's whiskey is as good as ever and perhaps as good as when Augustus Bulleit produced it some 150 years ago. The history of Bullet Bourbon began in 1830 by Augustus. Over the next 30 years, he created a bourbon based on his own recipe, which soon became successful, but after his death in 1860, production ceased and did not resume until the 1990s. Today, the brand is owned by Diageo and continues to produce bourbon.
