Bulleit Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey is made from pure Kentucky limestone filtered water and local ingredients. It is made from a mash of corn, rye and malted barley. After the grains are harvested, they are fermented with the family's unique strain of yeast. After fermentation, it is distilled in copper pot stills and then matured in new American white oak charred barrels. Bulleit Bourbon has a caramel color, aromas of charred oak, rich caramel and warm spices. Notes of oak, pepper and cinnamon leave hints of creamy vanilla and rye bread on the palate and lead to a long, lingering finish.

Brand History

Until 2013, Bulleit bourbon was produced at the Four Roses Distillery in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Since then, the birthplace of this tall rye whiskey has been unknown. Nevertheless, the quality of Bulleit's whiskey is as good as ever and perhaps as good as when Augustus Bulleit produced it some 150 years ago. The history of Bullet Bourbon began in 1830 by Augustus. Over the next 30 years, he created a bourbon based on his own recipe, which soon became successful, but after his death in 1860, production ceased and did not resume until the 1990s. Today, the brand is owned by Diageo and continues to produce bourbon.
