Description
The traditional Kvevri wine of the Alaverdi Monastery cellar, Saferavi, is characterized by a dark ruby color, a charming aroma characteristic of cherries, black currants, blackberries, well-balanced, rich and delicious tones of fruits and tannins. Natural wine with varietal aroma and taste, characterized by high antioxidant activity. Monks' wine has the ancient taste and aroma preserved in the kvevri.
Brand History
The place where the grapes are transformed into fine wine must be special. This very idea was the cornerstone for those who founded the "Badagoni" winery in 2006. Badagoni owns two wineries in the fertile land of Kakheti - one is located in the village of Zemo Khodashen in the Akhmet district and the other in the village of Manavi in the Sagarejo district. During the construction of the winery, Badagoni management actively cooperated with world-renowned experts. The buildings, equipment and laboratory of the winery fully meet ISO standards. Badagoni winery located in Akhmeta is equipped with the most advanced technologies not only in Georgia, but also in Eastern Europe. It is equipped with the latest and unique microfiltration and bottling systems designed and installed by the leading Italian companies Bertolaso and Enotec, exclusively for Badagoni. Both ensure food safety, exclude oxygen leakage and prevent contact with iron, which is vital for the transfer of organoleptic characteristics to wine.
