Edmund Husserl – German philosopher-idealist, founder of transcendental phenomenology.
He studied in Leipzig, Berlin and Vienna. 1883, after defending his dissertation in variation accounting, K. He was Weierstrass's assistant. F. Brentano and K. Under the influence of Stumpf, he tried to base mathematics psychologically ("On the Concept of Number", 1887; "Philosophy of Arithmetic", 1891). Professor of philosophy in Halle, Göttingen and Freiburg, from which he was dismissed by the fascists because of his Jewishness.
Husserl was influenced by K. Jaspers, M. Heidegger, N. Hartman, M. Sheller, J. P. Sartre, M. Merleau-Ponty and others. In the early twenties, an active participant in Husserl's seminars was Prof. K. Bakradze. Husserl's research center is in many countries, archive and publishing house - in Leuven.
The book represents the lectures given in Freiburg. The text of the "Amsterdam Reports" was created between September 1927 and April 1928. The book is an introduction to phenomenology and it conveys the meaning of phenomenology in as understandable a language as possible.
The book also includes Edmund Husserl's article "On Phenomenology", which was first published in 1939. The article concludes with an opinion about phenomenology as a universal science. In addition, the definition of concepts and terms used in the text is attached to the book as an appendix.
