Founded in 2007, Pheasant Tears produces artisanal natural wines using the ancient Georgian method of growing rare endemic grape varieties and harvesting with organic processes. Their name comes from a Georgian fairy tale in which the hero declares that only great wine can make a pheasant cry tears of joy. The brand is a member of the Natural Wine Association. "Tears of Pheasants" is located in the mountainous village of Sighnagh, in the Eastern Kakheti region of Georgia, which is famous for its history and culture of wine production.
