Brand History

"Chonas Marani" is the ancestral winery of the Chonishvili family, located in the city of Telavi. The family has a long-standing tradition of natural wine production, which is passed down from generation to generation and is based on the traditional Kakhi technology, which involves placing the wine in a pitcher and planting it. Wine is produced from grapes grown in their own vineyard. The vineyard is maintained according to bio-organic rules. Vineyard maintenance, grape pressing, wine making and bottling are done by family members. The vineyard is planted in the micro-zone of Tsinandli, in the village of Kurdglauri, at an altitude of 550 m above sea level. Its area is 2 hectares. The vineyard is maintained according to bio-organic rules. Cultivated varieties are precisely adapted to the environment and soil composition characteristic of this particular zone.
