In 1928, "Snake shirt" by Grigol Robakidze was printed in Jena, Germany, by the Diederichs publishing house, with a foreword by Stefan Zweig. The correspondence about the translation and publication of the novel laid the foundation for the friendship of these two writers. The Swiss archive of Grigol Robakidze is considered lost, therefore, we cannot find Stefan Zvaig's letters to the Georgian writer. Fortunately, Grigol Robakidze's epistolary legacy (letters sent to the Austrian creator) was preserved in America, New York, in the Daniel Reed Library of Fredonia University, in the Stefan Zweig Archive. Grigol Robakidze's letters to Stefan Zvaig were translated and published for the first time. This collection gives the reader an opportunity to learn about them in the Georgian language. These letters contain a lot of previously unknown information and remind us once again that Georgian writing is a constituent part of world literature.
