Old Supra, Tablecloth "Abkhazeti"

An old table is a table created with great care and love. This is the echo of the heart of the brand, which carries the feeling of endless nostalgia that connects us all, with our own memories or absent, to Abkhazia. Tangerines, waves, plants - it reminds us of Abkhazia, so close, but today so far away! When working on the design of the table, the main emphasis was made on the Abkhazian temples, most of which were covered with domes by the Russian occupiers. The dome is the crown of the temple's architecture, the binder of its integrity, and in Abkhazia the domes were damaged the most. One of the main details of the design of the "Abkhazia" table is the dome, in this case of the Bichvit temple, which is well read when looking closely at the table. One of the mandarin ornaments is reproduced in the painting of the dome of Drandi Cathedral, which gives it more depth and meaning. The company "Old Sufra" has been producing Georgian traditional tables since 1998. However, its rebranding was carried out in August 2020 and since then it has been developing at a fast pace.

The company's mission was initially to restore the traditional Georgian blue tablecloth, make it in the traditional way and popularize it. In the process of rebranding, the profile of the existing activity was increased, digitized, and various home accessories based on the motifs of Georgian ornaments were created. The goal of the "Old Table" is not only to continue the Georgian tradition, but also to adapt the Georgian table to modernity. It tries to achieve this with new vibrant colors and designs.

At this stage, the brand operates in two directions:

1. Restoring the blue tables in their original or close-to-original form;

2. Creating a completely new design of home accessories based on the motifs of various Georgian ornaments.

The brand's products include traditional tablecloths, napkins, aprons, wall panels and blankets, which are made of 100% cotton, the highest quality fabric.
