Konstantin Z. Gamsakhurdia is an orientalist-historian, essayist and translator. He is the author of many books and letters in Georgian and German languages. In addition to the collection of German-language poets, several foreign authors were translated into Georgian, including Rudolf Steiner, Hermann Hesse (from German), Gustav Roux (from French), British Pre-Raphaelite poets (from English). An important part of the texts included in this book was translated by Konstantine Gamsakhurdia Jr. while living in Switzerland. This is the continuation of a kind of family tradition of the translator's research of German culture in Georgia, the deepening and expansion of its linguistic-cultural and poetic space in the Georgian language.
