The wine is made from Saperavi grapes grown in the vineyards of Tibaani village of Sighnaghi municipality in the Kakheti region, using ancient Georgian traditional methods in kvevri. It is distinguished by varietal aromas and pleasant tones. The wine is made without any chemical influence or impurities.

Brand History

In 2004, Johnny Okruashvili founded "Okro Wine" . He has 5.5 hectares in Kakheti, near the town of Sighnaghi, and uses traditional pitchers to make wine. John cultivates his vineyards organically, without pesticides or herbicides, and the wine is made without sulfur or other additives. On his small estate, Johnny grows an impressive variety of grapes, including the familiar (Rkatsiteli, Green, Saperavi) and the less familiar (Budeshuri, Tsolikouri and Tavkveri). His wines are impressively clean, pristine and stable, with a noticeable elegance and lightness of touch.
