Description

Black Rkatsiteli-red dry unfiltered kvevri wine, placed on Durdo in kvevri without claret, organically grown from grapes of Shavi Rkatsiteli variety. Winery and vineyard are located in Sagarejo district of Kakheti, near the river Iori.

Brand History

Latibashvili's wine cellar is located in Sagarejo district of Kakheti, on the Gareji road, on the banks of the Ivri river. Winemaking is done by Kakhuri traditional method with full chacha-claret fermentation in pitchers, stainless tanks are also used. Several varieties of Kakhuri rare vines are grown in the vineyard: red-grape Simonaseuli and black Rkatsiteli. Khikhi with white grapes, Kakhuri green and Rkatsiteli. Herbal tinctures and a bio-preparation containing copper with a minimum dose are used for medicine. The vineyard is completely organic, and the wine does not use cultural yeasts, sulfur or filtration. Production is very small and ranges from 2000 to 3000 bottles per year depending on the climatic conditions. Red drum distillate of organically grown Georgian local wheat variety is also produced.
