Brand History

Kolagi is one of the oldest wineries in Georgia, distinguished by its rich traditions of organic viticulture and natural winemaking. The winery was founded in 1887 by Nika Jeiranashvili, and since then the family has continued to produce natural wines using traditional methods in centuries-old qvevri.

Kolagi’s organic vineyards are located 500 meters above sea level, in the Gurjaani microzone, Kakheti. This unique terroir gives the grapes a distinctive flavor, resulting in exceptional wines.

Kolagi’s winery focuses on high quality wine, not quantity. Accordingly, it produces a very limited amount of wine each year. All work in the winery and vineyards is done by hand, in accordance with the strict requirements of the Natural Wine Association.

The winemaking process is minimally intervened in order to produce wine that matures in the most natural way. Each bottle of wine is made by hand - without yeasts, oenological additives or processing aids. The wine also has no added sulfites.

The Kolagi cellar and vineyards undergo a special inspection by the Natural Wine Association every year, on the basis of which Kolagi wines are awarded the association's seal of approval.
