The white semi-sweet Alazni Valley in Kakheti is made from smoky Rkatsiteli and green Kakhuri. The drink has a golden straw color, aroma of ripe white fruits, cherry jam and sweet taste. It goes well with tropical fruits and light cakes. 10-12 degrees is the ideal temperature for tasting the drink.

Brand History

The history of Teliani Valley began in the 19th century, when a voluminous wine cellar was built on the territory of the old cellar and the Alexander Chavchavadze winery by order of the emperor's brother, Mikhail Romanov. In the 1880s, Bordeaux winemaker Antoine Mossano was invited to the wine cellar. Mosano worked in Georgia for 9 years and was the first to start working on the fusion of Georgian and European grape varieties and winemaking technologies. On his initiative, many varieties of French grapes were brought to Georgia and cultivated. Cabernet-Sauvignon grown in the Teliani Valley was among the new varieties, from which Mosano made the Teliani wine and sent the first bottle to St. Petersburg, to the emperor's court. On the bottle it was written: "Cabernet-Sauvignon from Teliani Valley, 1893, Antoine Mossano". The wine was greatly appreciated by the emperor, and thus, it was Mosano and "Teliani" that gave the name to this small valley located on the fertile land of Kakheti. In the old cellar of Tsinandli, you can still find "Teliani" of different harvests and other Georgian-French wines and cognacs created by Mosano. Currently, in the estates of Aleksandre Chavchavadze "Teliani Valley" vineyards are cultivated. Teliani Valley continues the tradition and offers consumers wines pressed from ancient grape varieties, made with traditional and Georgian-European technologies.
