Alexandrouli is a unique Georgian wine grape variety. The wine is made and grown in Kvevri, using the traditional Georgian method, from the 2021 harvest in Lasha Chikvinidze's family cellar. The vineyard is planted on loamy soil of moderate acidity, at an altitude of 180 meters above sea level. The vineyard is poisoned with bio-organic preparations. The wine is purified by natural sedimentation. Sulfur is used only in the form of smoke. Bottled in limited quantities.

Brand History

Wine is produced in Western Georgia, in Baghdati region, in the village of Dim (Dimna - the prehistoric name of the village), in Imerul Maran "Dimna". Lasha Chikvinidze represents the fifth generation of the family, which is engaged in winemaking. His great-grandfather - Moses Tsakadze - was the owner of the first commercial family winery in Imereti, which is depicted in Niko Firosman's paintings. He owns a 2-hectare vineyard, namely, 3,500 Tsolikouri seedlings, 1,000 - Dzelshavi, 500 - Krakhuna, 500 - Alexandrouli, 500 - Otskhanuri saplings. Among them, 500 saplings have been planted on Talavera. Also, table grapes of different varieties - 300 seedlings. The said vineyard has been planted in different years, on brown clay soil, from east to west. The wine goes through fermentation and aging in a vat, and after being removed from the vat, it is stored in stainless steel and glass vessels.
