Description

Made in traditional Georgian style in Kvevri, dry amber natural unfiltered wine is made from Rkatsiteli grapes. The harvest is harvested in our vineyard in the village of Ozhio, Kakheti. Rkatsiteli is one of the oldest breeds in Georgia, which dates back to 3000 BC. Grape harvest: end of September. Fermentation: fermentation of Rkatsiteli in a pitcher or for 3 to 4 weeks until the sugar is completely dissolved. After fermentation, it remains on the chacha (skin) for six months. It is stirred 4-6 times a day during the first 4 weeks in March, the wine is transferred from one jug to another to free it from the remaining sediment. The same process is carried out in the spring.

Brand History

In 2017, four childhood friends, Mamuka, Amiran and Giorgi, who were interested in natural winemaking, decided to follow in the footsteps of their ancestors and start making natural wine. The wine had to be aged using ancient Georgian traditional methods, exactly as it was done in Georgia 8000 years ago. The first step was to find a suitable vineyard. Everyone felt a strong connection with the vine the first time they touched it, and the first deal was made. Now Alphabet owns the vineyard planted in 1980. He possessed a personality that shared the same views on wine as his friends. Soon after that, a cellar was built with pitchers and now wine is produced there as it was done by our ancestors long ago. "Remember whose mountain you are from!" - an old Georgian saying.
